SHANNON SOBOLOW

Shannon earned her Bachelor of Music from the esteemed Manhattan School of Music. A native of Connecticut, Shannon’s passion for the performing arts began at a young age and profoundly shaped her life. This deep connection to the arts led her to transition from performing to focusing on talent development and education.

With over 17 years of experience in the field, Shannon has made significant contributions as a teacher, assistant director, music director, and director across a diverse range of productions. Her impressive portfolio includes directing and assisting with notable shows such as Cinderella Kids, Aristocats Kids, Annie, 101 Dalmatians, Fiddler on the Roof (Assistant Music Director and Director), Seussical, Clue, Pirates Past Noon, Willy Wonka Jr., Willy Wonka Kids and Puffs.

In addition to her work in directing and education, Shannon has served as a teaching artist, assistant costume designer, and costume designer for The Hartford Stage Summer Studio since 2011. She has also been the Junior Troupe Director at The Hartford Stage Summer Studio, further demonstrating her versatility and commitment to the arts.

Shannon’s extensive experience and dedication to nurturing talent and creating impactful performances make her a respected and influential figure in the performing arts community.
