ASHLEY D'ONOFRIO
Instructor/Choreographer
Ashley D’Onofrio is from Windsor, Connecticut where she grew up dancing in Enfield and Somers, Connecticut. She started at the age of three at Riley’s School of Dance and also attended the Connecticut Contemporary Ballet Theatre under the direction of Richard & Christine Steinert. While training with many great teachers over years and attending numerous master classes and workshops at The School of Hartford Ballet, Broadway Dance Center and Stepson Broadway in New York City, she has studied jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, modern, character, acrobatics, and even Irish step. She has had the opportunity to take class with masters such as Brenda Buffalino, Avi Miller and Ofer Ben, Josh Hilberman, Max Pollak, Germaine Salsberg, Frank Hatchet, Jacques d’Amboise, Victor Smalley and Angel Armas from Dance Moms Miami, and many others.
After graduating from the Hartford Conservatory with a degree in dance pedagogy and dance performance in 2004, she has been teaching and sharing her passion and love for dance in the Connecticut and Western Massachusetts area ever since. She has a passion for teaching dance and currently teaches for a few CT studios, as well as a studio in Western MA. In March of 2023 she taught tap classes as master teacher at the National Dance Association of Affiliated Arts Convention in East Longmeadow, MA.
Ashley loves all dance styles especially tap, jazz and ballet, and really enjoys choreographing. Her routines have placed overall at national and regional competitions as well as first in the category.
When not teaching or dancing she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, swimming, going to the beach and spending time with her dog, friends, and family. She is excited to share her passion and love for dance!
